Find out more about the National Pork Board’s Pork Production Safety System here
The educational sessions will be held every other Thursday at 3:00pm (CST) starting April 17th.
Agriculture
consistently ranks as one of the most hazardous industries in which to work.
Within that, the pork industry has its own sets of needs and concerns which has
been highlighted by the recent attention OSHA has shown the pork industry.
To address these needs
and concerns, The University of Iowa, with support from the National Pork Board
and industry personnel, has developed a series of free educational seminars to
educate pork industry safety managers and employees about the specific hazards
found in their daily work environments.
Using the distance
learning software, Adobe Connect, well-respected industry and safety persons
will present seminars on the most pressing needs of the pork industry as
determined by industry representatives.
