In women the causes for thinning hair can be many namely surgery, poor diet, child birth, thyroid disease or some medications. Women must include protein rich foods such as dairy products, meat, fish and poultry etc. For healthy hair growth you must also include iron which is found in foods such as green leafy vegetables etc. Women must not wear their hair in tight braids or buns as this can cause stress leading to hair loss.
Some chemicals in hair color treatments and others can harm hair and lead to hair loss as well and use of these must be limited. If a thyroid or any other problem is found to be the cause for hair thinning, the problem must be corrected so that hair loss is stopped. If a medication is causing hair loss, you must stop it immediately and seek the doctor’s opinion. Because of the side effects associated with some hair loss treatments, women prefer to undergo natural treatments as a solution to hair thinning problems. It is always advisable to go for natural treatment rather than trying any harsh chemicals to make your hair to shine and look like new.
